This page supplies inforrmation on the papers used and other information
relevant to our various products.
- Matte Paper - our Matte paper is heavy 40lb paper (7 mil/182
? thick.) This paper is used when we print our map products. This
is a white paper.
Digital Photochrom Images
- In addition to offering of Photochroms as prints, we also offer
them as digital images delivered to you on CD. Each digital Photochrom
is delivered in TIF format and the resolution of each image is
300 dpi.
Photochrom images are supplied on a royalty free basis meaning
that you can use the images in any application you wish from personal
prints to publishing in a magazine or newspaper to selling prints
from the original digital image. However, you do not have the
right to resell the digital image itself as that is protected
by copyright. (Please see CD products below to read about formatting/compatibility
issues.)

- Our CDs are created in PC format using an HTML menu to navigate.
To use one of our CDs, you must either be using a PC or a Macintosh
in PC emulation mode. If you wish to work with the images in
native Macintosh mode, you will need to copy the images/movies
from the CD to your Macintosh while in PC emulation mode and
then you will be able to use your native Macintosh tools to
work with the images as they will then reside on your hard disk.
Viewing the maps CDs also requires installing a software program
called MrSID which is included on the Map CD disks. This is
a PC based program and will run on a Macintosh in PC emulation
mode.
Images and movies on the CDs are supplied on a royalty free
basis meaning that you can use the images/movies in any application
you wish from personal prints to publishing in a magazine or
newspaper to selling prints from the original digital image.
However, you do not have the right to resell the digital image
itself or the CD as that is protected by copyright.
